Medicis announced that Mark Prygocki has been promoted to EVP, COO; Vincent Ippolito has been named EVP, sales and marketing, and Richard Peterson has been appointed EVP, CFO and treasurer. These promotions follow the departure of Richard Havens who served as the company's EVP, sales and marketing. Havens leaves Medicis moving toward his eventual retirement. Havens has agreed to act in a consultancy capacity exclusively to Medicis and will assist primarily with strategic initiatives and business development activities, the company said.

Su Jang has joined Chicago-based Topin & Associates as account executive working on the Baxter global medication delivery account. Previously, Jang was account manager at Siren Interactive, an interactive healthcare marketing agency where she planned and managed e-marketing campaigns and websites for various clients.
 
MEDIA
Quadrant HealthCom has named Charles Nemeroff, MD, PhD, editor-in-chief of NeuroPsychiatry Reviews. Nemeroff has served on the publication's editorial board since its launch in 2000. He is professor and chairman of the department of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA.
