Traversa Therapeutics appointed Barry Toyonaga, PhD, to the position of SVP, business development. Toyonaga joins Traversa with over 20 years of experience with biotech, pharmaceutical and venture capital firm including Johnson & Johnson and Ontogen. 

Gilead Sciences announced that Robin Washington will join the company as SVP and CFO. Washington most recently served as CFO of Hyperion Solutions, an enterprise software company that was acquired by Oracle in March 2007.

CMPMedica announced that Brett Baxter has joined the Psychiatric Times sales staff as regional sales manager. Most recently, he served as national accounts manager on Ascend Media's publication Pharmacy Times.  

Rick McCook, CFO of US Oncology will resign effective May 2, 2008, a company statement said.  Vicki Hitzhusen, chief accounting officer, will serve as interim principal financial officer.
