MANUFACTURERS
Pfizer named Garry Nicholson SVP, general manager of the company's newly created Oncology Business Unit with direct responsibility for clinical development, medical affairs, commercial development, sales and marketing. Nicholson will report to Ian Read, president of Pfizer Worldwide Pharmaceutical Operations. Nicholson joins Pfizer from Eli Lilly where he spent more than 10 years as executive director of the US Oncology Business Unit and subsequently in an expanded role as global oncology platform leader.

HealthSTAR Public Relations (HSPR) announced that Hayley Soffer has joined the firm as an EVP. Prior to joining HSPR, Soffer managed the healthcare practice at Publicis Consultants | PR (formerly Rowland Communications). She has 14 years of industry experience at agencies, including Porter Novelli and Manning Salvage & Lee where she spent the majority of her career. She began her career at Makovsky & Company.

TVG Marketing Research & Consulting, a provider of marketing research, marketing consulting and training to the healthcare industry, announced two promotions. Adam Porterfield, PsyD, MBA, has been promoted to associate VP from executive director, and Lisa Sternadori, MBA, has been promoted to VP from associate VP.
