Biopharma Halozyme Therapeutics announced the appointment of Jonathan Leff to vice president, chief medical officer. Leff was previously the vice president and global head of inflammation, clinical development, at Roche. Prior to Roche, Leff was VP, North American medical affairs at Amgen.
 
SonoSite, a medical device manufacturer known for its hand-carried ultrasound, announced the appointment of Rodney Hochman to its board of directors. Hochman has a medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, and served as a clinical fellow in internal medicine at Harvard Medical School and Dartmouth Medical School.
