Publicis Strategic Solutions Group (PSSG), a professional communications firm, appointed Laura Marsh Lynner to chief operation officer. Lynner was previously EVP and managing director of Scientific Voice, a Publicis-owned speaker bureau company serving the pharmaceutical industry. Lynner is charged with day-to-day operations of Publicis' strategic solutions group, comprised of Publicis Selling Solutions, Scientific Voice, Pharmagistics and Arista Marketing Associates. She will report to Rick Keefer, group president and CEO.

HC&B Healthcare Communications confirmed the appointment of Darren Fuller to senior account executive, as reported in the New York Times. Fuller was previously a senior account executive at AgencyRx, an Omnicom shop. His new appointment was effective May 4, an agency spokesperson said.

Abaxis, Inc., a medical device manufacturer, announced the appointment of Brenton Hanlon to vice president, North American sales and marketing. Hanlon has been a member of the company's board since 1996, and has resigned that position in order to accept his new role.
