Sutro Biopharma, a manufacturer focused on open cell-free synthesis for the discovery and production of proteins, announced that Daniel Petree has been elected to the board of directors. Additionally, Henry Heinsohn, previously a scientist in process development at Genentech, was hired as VP development and manufacturing. Lesley Stolz, formerly VP, corporate and business development at Sunesis Pharmaceuticals, was hired as VP of business development.

IMS Health announced that Jack Walsh has been named senior vice president, payer and government solutions – a new position at the company. Walsh, previously SVP, strategy and business development, will continue to report to David Carlucci, IMS chairman and CEO. In his new role, Walsh is responsible for the continued expansion of IMS's payer and government solutions initiatives worldwide, and will also drive the company's comparative effectiveness research activities.

Spectrum, a full-service strategic marketing communications agency, hired Molly Carey Poarch as account director. Poarch was previously the director of communications for the National Osteoporosis Foundation.
