Mike Rutstein, formerly of Draftfcb, has launched a new full-service agency, StrikeForce Communications, whose clients include Alcon Laboratories.  At Draftfcb Rutstein was EVP, director of consumer healthcare and chief growth officer. Strikeforce is comprised of a core team of three executives, and a stable of over 100 independent workers – from writers to digital strategists – that can be assembled based on a client's need, according to Rutstein.

Aileron Therapeutics, a biotech focused on stapled peptide drugs, appointed Steven Kafka to chief financial officer and VP, finance and operations. Kafka, formerly VP, finance at Infinity Pharmaceuticals, will lead strategic and operational finance activities, direct corporate communications and human resources, and support business development efforts. Kafka will report to CEO Joseph Yanchik.
