Goldberg to lead Pfizer account at G2
In this position, Goldberg will help continue to grow the agency's wellness group, drawing on his experience as both a marketing professional and doctor.
Prior to joining G2 Direct & Digital, Goldberg worked at Imc2, where he was director, client services and medical strategy. He worked on Pfizer brands including Lipitor, Celebrex and others. Prior to Imc2, he worked at BestMed, a Publicis Medical Education Group company, where he was medical account director for Sanofi-Aventis' Ambien and other brands.
Before branching out into the advertising sector, he worked as a physician, gaining several years of experience in that capacity.
Commenting to MM&M on his new role, Goldberg said, “My goal is to take Web 2.0 and all of the incredible benefits of these technologies and not use them for technology's sake but use them to enhance this idea of wellness to both the patient and the physician.”
Goldberg added, “I think the unique thing I can bring is that I have been on the physician side, I have been on the patient side and I have been on the caregiver side. Having an understanding of all three and finally being able to use technology, partner with other professional agencies and be able to incorporate an integrated experience from the standpoint of the patient and the physician is how I can contribute.”
Goldberg said his career has been influenced by his father who was a physician and his uncle who was into media and advertising.
“Doing this, I feel like I am able to help bring some knowledge about what the patient and physician experience is like to the account teams and help bridge the gap. I can contribute in my own way by being in this spot rather than in patient care,” he said.
