MediZine taps Martin as creative director
“With our company growing we needed a much more sophisticated art-oriented person to join our team,” said Alison Jaret, MediZine VP marketing & custom solutions. “We are in the point-of-care category, sometimes we have such slim differences that it is really hard to communicate without overlapping. Renee is helping us make that distinction with advertisers and helping them better understand how to use us.”
Martin previously served as the marketing art director at Smithsonian Publishing, working on Smithsonian and Air & Space magazines.
Martin told MM&M conveying the marketing message at MediZine is different and ultimately more rewarding than in the consumer category.
“This category is extremely important,” Martin said. “In the end I will be helping consumers educate themselves regarding conditions and the products available to them. It makes me feel that I’m going to be doing good for people.”
