NFL players promote Healthcare.gov

Health and Human Services has recruited NFLers Russell Wilson and Richard Sherman to encourage consumers to meet the February 15 deadline for getting health insurance through the exchanges.

The two Seattle Seahawks's participation included a video PSA with a #GetCovered hashtag.

HHS told Yahoo's Shutdown Corner that the White House had been talking with the Seahawks since their 2014 Superbowl win over the Denver Broncos. They also told Shutdown Wilson and Sherman were known spokesmen, having promoted products as varied as mobile devices and beef jerky.
