Pharmalot blogger Ed Silverman is moving to Elsevier's Windhover/FDC Reports division, which publishes The Pink Sheet and In Vivo, after taking a buyout from the site's publisher, The Star-Ledger of New Jersey.

The beat reporter-turned-blogger, one of the top journalists covering the pharma industry, will serve as an editor at the Elsevier Business Intelligence unit starting next week. He'll contribute to various print and online titles and maybe even do some blogging.

In June, the Star-Ledger's owner, Newhouse Newspapers' Advance Publications, said it would sell the paper if it failed to win union concessions and buyouts of 200 of the title's 756 non-union employees, which included newsroom staff.
