Social media guru Gwee joins Chandler Chicco

Social media guru Shwen Gwee has jumped ship from Edelman to Chandler Chicco.

Gwee, who was VP of digital health at Edelman, becomes Chief Digital Officer at Chandler Chicco, where he heads a team of 40, with responsibility for digital strategy across the inVentiv Health subsidiary's shops. He's also part of the network's leadership council and the inVentiv digital and innovation group.

Gwee's is a new position at Chandler Chicco. Ritesh Patel, InVentiv's global head of digital and innovation, was Chandler Chicco's global digital and social lead from 2009 to 2012, but Gwee said his role is "slightly different."

While Monday was officially day one, Gwee has already gotten a start on his long term plans, having met with senior leadership about "what it means to basically take lead of the Chandler Chicco digital practice and drive the digital and social media business.” He said his long-term focus is on “driving innovative product services,” and finding a way for CCC's agencies to put “digital and social in an integrated way into every offering that Chandler Chicco Companies has.”
