Sudler & Hennessey acquires Current Medical Directions

WPP's Sudler & Hennessey (S&H) acquired medical education company Current Medical Directions (CMD).
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
CMD, a provider of live educational symposia, print and digital technology,
recently created the company Academic Alliances in Medical Education (AAME).AAME's focus
is to foster relationships between the healthcare industry and universities through CME programs for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses and pharmacists.
S&H said all senior management of CMD will remain in their current positions and continue to operate from their New York headquarters. S&H's other specialized divisions in medical education include IntraMed Educational Group and Precept Medical Communications.
