Sudler New York, a promotional shop that employs about 250 people, underwent a reorganization. The move came just months after its parent company, Sudler & Hennessey, effected a similar effort.

Sudler New York formed three groups: ideas, which houses creative; clients, for account services; and people, which covers operations and human resources. As part of the reorganization, John Marchese‎, previously EVP and director of account services, was named managing director. Marchese continues to report to Rob Rogers, co-CEO of the Americas for Sudler & Hennessey.

“Rob and I have a very similar vision for what the agency of the future looks like,” said Marchese. He noted that the new model is expected to help boost collaboration at the New York agency.

In March, Sudler & Hennessey, a WPP Group network, changed the way the businesses report to Rob Rogers and Louisa Holland, the agency’s co-CEOs in the Americas. Rogers leads promotional efforts, primarily the domain of Sudler New York and Sentrix Healthcare Communications, while Holland is responsible for a new science and learning focus, including medical education, sales training, and medical affairs.

As part of the reorganization, Sudler New York promoted a handful of executives to EVP, including Jennifer Boehmer, Jean Christenson, Chris Duffey, Guy Desimini, Megan Robinson, and Diane Vinch. It also hired Allen Singer as SVP and director of operations.

One goal of the reorganization is to ensure that staff remain “focused on what they’re doing best,” Marchese said. Creating a stand-alone operations unit is expected to alleviate operational work for creative and account staff.
