Talk about the last time you experienced a truly fist-pumping victory moment.

I believe we have to celebrate all the victories big and small – whether it is receiving minimal comments from the FDA’s Office of Prescription Drug Promotion on marketing materials because we got the submission right the first time, or working collaboratively with legal and regulatory for eight months to challenge the status quo to launch a novel social media campaign or having someone from your group get a promotion – all worthy of the fist pump.

How long ago was the last time you truly took the time to recharge your batteries? What did you do?

I am taking a seven-week sabbatical from work April 14 through June 5. We will be island hopping, living on coconut water, and relaxing on the beach. I can’t wait to go.

What are your words to live by?

The job won’t hug you at night – meaning do a job that you love so all the challenges are worth it and don’t put your family second.

What would you tell your 20-year-old self?

Don’t act married to the boyfriend.

What is one thing you would tell young women starting their careers in healthcare marketing?

Build a personal board of directors. Having my own personal board has been instrumental in providing professional guidance and emotional security.

Favorite drink? Stoli cosmo, extra cranberry.

If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say as you enter?

You earned your spot when you let your mother-in-law live with you for 10 years.

Attend the MM&M Hall of Femme summit in June in New York City to hear Highsmith talk about how women can make their voices heard in the workplace
