As a product director at Janssen Biotech, Juliette Deshaies leads “all things” related to patient marketing in rheumatology. At the moment, her efforts are focused on launching a new, first-in-class treatment for patients living with psoriatic arthritis.

Since joining Janssen Biotech, Deshaies has been instrumental in a number of innovative initiatives, including a branded Facebook chatbot for Simponi Aria, a biologic infusion used to treat rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis. Designed to improve patients’ access to information, the bot enabled the brand to share relevant content in a conversational style.

Deshaies began her career as a licensed investment banking analyst, working on public finance transactions for a variety of state- and local-level issuers. From there, she shifted into healthcare, joining Bristol Myers Squibb as a sales representative based out of the Chicago office. At BMS, she was promoted to an oncology sales learner trainer, supporting the company’s oncology drug, Yervoy. The move led to her first marketing role, as an associate product manager for Yervoy’s patient marketing.

In addition to her many career accomplishments and professional abilities, colleagues describe Deshaies as a genuinely caring person who supports her team. Said a former colleague, “It is obvious when you are around her that Juliette’s energy is contagious, and her personal warmth is felt by all.”
