Growing up, Mike deLima wanted to follow in his art director father’s footsteps and work in advertising. In high school, he launched a business designing MySpace pages for local bands, eventually gaining big-name clients including Universal Interscope and Island Def Jam. He saved the proceeds to pay for a college degree in graphic design.

After graduation, deLima was hired by the advertising agency BBDO, followed by a stint at Y&R. During this time, both of his parents underwent cancer treatment. Helping them through the process served as a wake-up call: deLima realized he wanted to leave consumer advertising to work on campaigns that felt more personally meaningful.

In 2016, deLima joined Klick Health, entering the world of healthcare marketing for the first time. He excelled from the get-go, and soon was tasked with leading creative conceiving and campaign development for consumer and healthcare provider campaigns. A talented recruiter, deLima convinced a number of creatives from the world of consumer advertising to join Klick and apply their talents to healthcare marketing.

“Mike is always thinking of what else we can do to take something to another level and his attitude is contagious,” said one colleague. “He treats his team with respect and trust and gives everyone the opportunity to grow and take ownership of projects with him.”
