Cephalon has consolidated its oncology business into Interpublic Group’s Draftfcb. The franchise includes Trisenox, which was with WPP’s Sudler & Hennessey, and Treanda, which was with Omnicom’s LyonHeart. It’s a purely professional-facing assignment, as those brands are not currently advertised to consumers. Draftfcb, which previously handled advertising for Nuvigil, will take over the oncology business sometime this quarter, Cephalon said.

Dr. Nan Hayworth, a former Cline, Davis & Mann exec, left the shop to run for US Congress as a Republican in New York’s 19th Congressional district. That Hudson Valley district is currently held by Democrat John Hall. An ophthalmologist, Dr. Hayworth was VP medical and scientific affairs at CDM until she launched her Congressional bid.

InVentiv Health acquired ParagonRx, a consulting company specializing in pharma risk management and optimizing medication use. The acquisition is aimed at bolstering inVentiv’s Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy offering .
