The House of Representatives approved legislation Friday that would require the government to negotiate with drug companies to lower the prices of prescription drugs for Medicare patients.Despite a threat of a veto from President Bush, Democrats used their majority status to push the vote through during the first 100 hours of the new Congress. The vote was 255-170.
