Three former Eli Lilly employees have been accused of selling the drug maker’s secrets to a Chinese drug company. The Indiana Business Journal reports that the unsealed federal indictment charges two scientists with seven counts of theft and conspiracy to commit theft, and a third is noted as being a participant. The scientists, Guoqing Cao and Shuyu Li, were arrested on Oct. 1.

IBJ reports Lilly’s head of global development testified that Cao and Li shared trade secrets that would allow the competing drug maker to create drugs for cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and cancer.
