BIO, the Biotech Industry Organization, named Human Genome Sciences chief H. Thomas Watkins chairman of the board for 2011-2012. He succeeds Cell Genesys’ Steve Sherwin in that role.

Centron announced a number of promotions and appointments including those of:Bill Wiles to VP, associate creative director; Christie Miller to account group supervisor; Craig Savage to creative group supervisor; Dale Von Eisenburg to VP, associate creative director; Gil Kuruneri to VP, group creative/multimedia supervisor; Mark Schofield to SVP, associate creative director; Tim Glenn to VP, creative group supervisor; Vanessa Sypko to VP, account group supervisor
