GlaxoSmithKline promoted Patrick Vallance as SVP, medicines discovery and development, and as a member of the company’s corporate executive team, with both roles taking effect July 1. GSK CEO Andrew Witty said the promotion of Vallance, who has been with GSK since 2006, “aligns with the company’s drive to increase R&D productivity and deliver more products of value.”
J.D. Power and Associates named Dr. Richard Millard senior director of its healthcare practice. He had been group president for the healthcare research group at Harris Interactive. Millard will be responsible for conducting studies on customer satisfaction across healthcare suppliers, manufacturers and providers, including health insurance plans, hospitals and retail pharmacies.
PharmMD, a medication therapy management firm, hired Michael Ansel as VP of sales. He previously worked at CorSolutions, a disease-management firm which later merged wth Matria before being sold to Inverness Medical.
