Novartis named Brian McNamara as division head of OTC. McNamara replaces J&J veteran Naomi Kelman, who has decided to leave the company a year after she took the OTC job, Novartis said. The new OTC chief has been with the Swiss drugmaker since 2004 and has worked on a number of initiatives, including the acquisition of OTC brand Prevacid and its Rx-to-OTC switch. McNamara also knows the European OTC market, having served as region head of Novartis OTC Europe from 2007-2010.

Healthcare data analytics and predictive modeling firm Qforma hired two new executives, Mark Feeney as VP of client services and Joann Flynn as senior director of business development operations and employee development. Both are industry veterans, with Feeney bringing 20 years of life sciences industry experience to his role and Flynn more than a decade.

Precision Health Media named named Matthew Fink VP of marketing, a new position at the contextual advertising technology firm. Fink joined from Johnson & Johnson, where he was most recently integrated marketing manager and developed partnerships for brands like Johnson’s Baby, Rogaine and K-Y with such media and technology companies as Facebook, Google and AOL/Huffington Post. The firm said it also has raised an additional $1 million in venture capital.

Ellynn Decter Szoke has been appointed chief marketing officer of the online community agency Within3. Szoke’s most recent experience includes advising pharmaceutical and consumer health organizations about their efforts to reach patients and physicians. The Johnson & Johnson alum will oversee branding, public relations, social media and tactical planning. She will report to CEO Lance Hill.
