Boehringer Ingelheim has hired Paul Romness as VP government affairs and public policy. Romness will lead that team at the company, with responsibility for executing plans at federal and state levels through the development of regulation, legislation and policy, and will also manage the Boehringer Ingelheim Cares Patient Assistance Program, the Boehringer Ingelheim Product Donation Program and the Boehringer Ingelheim Corporation Political Action Committee. He joins the company from Washington public affairs firm PR Strategies, LLC, where he was principal, and reports to VP public affairs and communications Amy Fry. Previously, he worked government affairs roles at Amgen and Johnson & Johnson.

AbelsonTaylor announced five new appointments in the account services area: Meredith Keroff Weber, Erika Antonucci, Molly Larsen, Michelle Samenfeld and Eric Cale. Keroff Weber has been promoted to senior account supervisor from account supervisor. Antonucci, who joined AbelsonTaylor five years ago, was promoted to senior account supervisor from account supervisor. Larsen has been promoted to senior account executive from account executive. Samenfeld, newly hired to manage an account for the treatment of acid reflux, has been appointed account executive. Cale, newly hired to account executive, has broad experience in diagnostics, therapeutics, interactive, DTC, med ed and CME.

Publicis Selling Solutions Group, a Publicis Healthcare Communications Group company, announced the appointment of Diana Crawley to executive director of Publicis Clinical Health Partners, a new division providing integrated, behaviorally based, education programs for patients and healthcare professionals. Crawley has 18 years of leadership and healthcare experience and six years of industry experience in leading clinical health educator teams.
