Abraxis BioScience appointed Lonnie Moulder to vice chairman, president and CEO. Patrick Soon-Shiong, previously chairman and CEOs and also the company’s founder, will assume the role of executive chairman and CEO of Abraxis Health. Moulder was most recently vice chairman of Eisai Corporation of North America, where he served as president and CEO since 2003.
AbelsonTaylor promoted three employees in account services. Becky Wasserman was promoted from senior account executive to account supervisor. She will handle a psoriasis treatment and report to Mark Finn, account director. Germaine Aprill was promoted from account executive to senior account executive. She will work on an ophthalmic product and report to Chris Bubser, senior account supervisor. Jennifer Cottrell was promoted from assistant account executive to account executive, and will be responsible for products in the anti-fungal and antibiotic categories. Cottrell will report to Nancy Drescher, VP, account director, and Meredith Weber, senior account supervisor.
Maryland-based biotech United Therapeutics announced the appointment of Richard Giltner to its board of directors, as an independent director. Giltner’s areas of expertise include international financial markets, financial derivatives, alternative investments and asset management, according to a company statement.
