Sanofi-Aventis completed its acquisition of Chattem, strengthening its presence in the US consumer healthcare market and bolstering its OTC switch capabilities. Chattanooga, TN-based Chattem will continue to be led by Zan Guerry, CEO, who will report to Sanofi-Aventis US president and CEO Greg Irace.
 
Allergan named Pacific Communications agency of record for overactive bladder treatment Sanctura XR. The review resulted from a co-promotion agreement Allergan entered into with Quintiles whereby Quintiles will leverage its expertise in primary care to rapidly deploy a specialized sales for ce for the product while Allergan continues to target urology. Pacific will act as agency of record on both efforts.
