Novartis won an eight-year, $486 million contract with the US Department of Health and Human Services to manufacture a pre-pandemic supply of influenza vaccine. Novartis is also tasked with providing the capacity to manufacture 150 million doses of pandemic vaccine within six months of declaration of an influenza pandemic.
Former Centocor vice president of corporate communications Michael Parks announced the launch of Pitch360, a public relations consultancy geared toward smaller pharmas and biotechs. The Downingtown, PA-based consultancy will offer public relations, marketing communications, investor relations and issues management services.
