Oxford University Press has launched the online-only open-access Gastroenterology Report, which it co-owns with Digestive Science Publishing. The journal is based in China, where the publisher says gastroenterology research has taken off. Managing editor Tim Wang said in a statement that China “is facing challenges to publish high-tier medical journals with international audiences.”

The first interactive mobile version of Barash’s Clinical Anesthesia went live in April. Published by Lippincott Williams and Wilkins, the access package includes iPad and iPhone entry points, plus online desktop access and the print edition. The publisher said content is updated twice a month. Download-only purchase and the all-in-one kit cost the same: $229.99.

UBM Medica sealed an exclusive distribution partnership with Ultrasound-Images.com. The collaboration provides free access to a gallery of ultrasound, color Doppler and 3-D images from radiologists and sonographers. Images include labels and links and supporting videos when available. The partnership will offer advertisers “greater reach into the imaging marketplace” UBM senior director Barron Hirsh said in a statement.
