Facebook is launching a research project to improve MRI scans using artificial intelligence. The company is teaming up with New York University to improve the speed of MRIs, potentially making them up to 10 times faster. AI may be able to do this by capturing less data during the scan. The FDA has denied Allergan’s marketing application for its uterine fibroid drug. Esmya, a treatment for abnormal uterine bleeding in women, has caused liver damage in patients outside of the U.S., where the drug is available. (Endpoints)
