The Healthcare Marketing & Communications Council (HMC Council) has announced its board of directors for 2005.
Kenneth Berkowitz, president of KPB Associates and co-principal of PharMed Staffing, was named president of the 2005 board. Martin Cearnal will serve as president-elect. Cearnal is the chief strategy officer at Thomson Medical Education. Marie Mickey, principal of The Avery Group, was named secretary. Melissa Warner, group vice president and general manager of CMP Healthcare Media’s Oncology Publishing Group, will be the treasurer.
Also, Mary Lacquaniti was recently selected as executive director after an exhaustive recruitment effort.
A major initiative, which is currently being planned, is the first annual HMC University Development Conference slated for October 20 and 21 to be held in Princeton, N.J.
