Interpublic Group reported $2.4 billion in revenue in Q4, a 7.1% jump on an organic basis year-over-year.
The New York-based holding company also posted a 27% increase in Q4 net income to $342.5 million. Operating income increased by 8.5% year-over-year to $459.1 million.
Interpublic’s health agencies include the FCB Health network, which houses agencies including Area 23, Neon, FCB Cure, and ProHealth; McCann Health; Golin; Weber Shandwick; Healix; Revive Health; and Virgo Health. IPG also acquired Acxiom, a data-based marketing company that works with its healthcare clients, last year.
For all of 2018, Interpublic posted $8 billion in revenue, a 5.5% increase on an organic basis from 2017, as well as an 11.8% increase in net income to $637.7 million. Operating income increased by 7.5% to more than $1 billion for 2018 as a whole.
In the U.S., revenue increased by 6.3% organically in Q4 and 5.1% for all of 2018. Healthcare clients accounted for a quarter of IPG’s revenue in 2018, the most of any industry. Revenue from healthcare clients also rose slightly from the previous year (23%).
