MM+M today debuted the entry kit for its newest awards program, the Agency of the Year Awards. Spun off from the venerable MM+M Awards, the new program is designed to celebrate the impactful work medical marketing agencies are doing across a range of specialties and channels.

The program was created in response to the popularity — and competitiveness — of the Agency of the Year categories at the MM+M Awards. Even after MM+M added Midsize and Large Agency Network of the Year categories in 2021, it was clear that the increasing clout medical marketing agencies wield with clients and within the health-media landscape demanded broader acknowledgement. And that was before one considers the momentum these agencies enjoy, courtesy of interest and substantial investment from private equity firms.

“The world of medical marketing agencies is as vibrant and forward-thinking as it has been at any time over the course of MM+M’s 50-year-plus history,” said MM+M editor-in-chief Larry Dobrow. “We’re excited to celebrate them in a manner commensurate with their place in the medical marketing ecosystem.”

The Agency of the Year awards will be handed out at an event scheduled for June 16, 2022 in New York City. Categories include:

• Small, midsize and large healthcare agency of the year
• PR agency of the year
• Medical communications agency of the year
• Independent agency of the year
• Market access maven
• Data prodigy
• Rare (disease) talent
• DE&I transformer
• Newcomer of the year

The deadline for entries will be February 23, 2022, and finalists will be announced in mid-April. Find the entry kit here.
