The agency, headquartered in Newcastle upon Tyne, will open shop in the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) in Cambridge, Massachusetts, an innovation hub for the global pharma industry.
This year the agency picked up three multi-billion-dollar US clients located in and around Boston and about 60 per cent of its business is abroad. This includes eight new European clients.
In the past year alone, ramarketing has nearly doubled its headcount to 25 staff, and grown revenue by about 30%.
Ramarketing told PRWeek it was unable to reveal the name of the new clients due to the sensitive nature of the industry they work in, but the US team will initially open with two staff, with plans to grow in the future.
“We have been looking for offices in the life sciences hub on the East coast of America for some time,” ramarketing founder Raman Sehgal said.
“Several hundred biotech facilities and big companies are based in the area so it places us at the heart of our client industry, and Massachusetts is a good cultural fit for us. Our new US office will be the springboard for further growth, and doubling our size again in the next two years is not unrealistic.
“We intend to take advantage of the strong links that already exist between our region and the northeast coast of the US.”
