NEW YORK: Publicis Health has named Alexandra von Plato as the network’s CEO, just one year after appointing her global group president for worldwide communications and media agencies.

She is leading Publicis Health’s 17 agency brands, such as Digitas Health, Heartbeat, and Saatchi & Saatchi wellness, located in 40 offices globally. Von Plato is based in New York and Philadelphia.


“My goal is to make sure that we are building a portfolio of capabilities and services for the future of healthcare marketing, to ensure that suite of services and solutions is user ready, and help our clients take advantage of the evolving and changing healthcare marketing landscape,” she said.

The network has named Nick Colucci, CEO of Publicis Health since 2007, as COO of Publicis Communications North America, effective immediately. He will also serve as chairman of Publicis Health throughout this year.


Von Plato’s promotion comes amid a larger transformation for Publicis Groupe, which has been breaking down its disciplines into four “solutions hubs,” including Publicis Health, for the past two years. Last year, the network rebranded from Publicis Healthcare Communications Group to Publicis Health to be more inclusive of health and wellness.

Parent company Publicis Groupe is scheduled to disclose its fourth-quarter and full-year 2017 earnings on February 8. The agency holding company reported 1.2% global organic revenue growth in the third quarter, as well as 3% growth in North America. The global revenue numbers missed analysts’ expectations, according to The Wall Street Journal.
