Digital health and wellness agency Greater than One has appointed Andrew Bast as chief strategy officer.
Bast previously worked at Concentric Health Experience, where he was EVP and director of strategic integration for seven years, working with clients including Novartis, Novo Nordisk and Sage Therapeutics. Bast has also worked at agencies including Epsilon and Saatchi & Saatchi Consumer Healthcare.
“My personal goal is taking the complex and stripping it away to get to the core of a conversation, the core of a problem, to then create and craft an imaginative solution that is most effective and appropriate,” he said. Bast added that the approach can help companies “get ahead of many challenges to come, whether internal or external.”
About 10 staffers will initially report to Bast, but he will look to expand that group.
“I want to be part of the culture of change,” he said, “I want to be a part of a team that is going to imagine how we can improve healthcare and the role that it plays in our lives.”
Greater Than One also hired Ross Thomson, a veteran of Ogilvy Health, Grey Healthcare Group, Publicis London and McCann, as chief creative officer in February.
