Srikant Ramaswami has joined precision medicine biotech Caris Life Sciences as VP and chief communications officer.

Previously, Ramaswami was EVP for healthcare global emerging markets at rbb Communications. He also spent 12 years at Johnson & Johnson in various roles, including VP of regional communications and global leader of stakeholder action. Earlier in his career, he worked at Pfizer as director of consumer marketing and Merck as director of corporate reputation. Before working in pharma, Ramaswami had an earlier stint at rbb Communications and worked at Burson-Marsteller.

Caris is focused on developing platforms to advance precision medicine for cancer patients. The company uses platforms that inform drug development, disease monitoring, diagnostics, and drug delivery for pharma companies. It also has a platform geared toward oncologists to help the doctors identify treatment options and personalize cancer case.

The biotech is headquartered in Dallas, with other offices in Phoenix and Basel, Switzerland.
