Spending in medical journals during the first half of 2018 may not have reached the levels seen in the recent past. At the same time, pharma companies don’t appear to be trimming their investments: Journals saw a 1.4% jump in ad pages versus the year-ago period. Furthermore, the top four advertisers — AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, and Roche — all grew their number of ad pages.
