Since the beginning of her career, Julie Turnbull has been passionate about the science of human diseases, especially rare diseases. Her background in healthcare academia – including a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in molecular genetics and a postdoctoral fellowship at the world-renowned Hospital for Sick Kids – enabled her to become a “multilingual diplomat” who can speak the languages of strategists, web developers, clients, and patients.

As the author or over 30 peer-reviewed papers in the rare disease space and a presenter at numerous conferences for both patient advocacy groups and HCPs, Turnbull is a pro at translating scientific information for a general audience.

At Klick, she created an in-house regulatory affairs program for the entire agency, worked on the 2018 Cannes Lion-winning Lighter Blue social media campaign for Takeda, and created the first branded Facebook and Twitter pages for Entyvio.

Turnbull is widely respected by clients and within her organization as a subject matter expert in regulatory affairs, as a scientific director, and a submission strategist.
