Porter Novelli’s Washington, DC, office landed a multimillion dollar contract from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
CMS hired Porter Novelli for outreach and awareness activities for the 2009 Medicare open enrollment, that includes “an integrated multimedia and grassroots education campaign to encourage America’s seniors and caregivers to make the most of the prescription drug and other benefits offered by Medicare,” according to a release. “Promoting open enrollment to America’s seniors goes far beyond telling them it is time to look at their health coverage. We will need to consider seniors who are in a Medicare drug plan already, but whose circumstances may have changed, as well as seniors who are newly eligible,” said Ellen Field, EVP and head of Porter Novelli’s health and social marketing practice.
