MM&M’s CAREER AND SALARY SURVEY 2018

Every year since 1987, this survey has presented a wealth of valuable information for career-minded marketers in and around healthcare. In this year’s edition, we share the usual copious volume of data – everything from the most recent salary and job-satisfaction results to context-rich analysis of concerns around work/life balance and short- and long-term career-planning – and a range of benchmarks.

These include data related to industry efforts at improving diversity and inclusion as well as details about the stickiest employee perks being offered by agencies and manufacturers. We’ve also added a range of coveted titles to the mix, like UX manager and data scientist.

CAREER PATHS 2018: LEADERS WEIGH IN

Pharma marketers tend to take a different route to their ultimate career destination than marketers in other industries. In its annual “Career Paths” feature devoted to in-house marketers, MM&M shines the spotlight on eight top executives holding a range of coveted posts at biopharma companies. How did they find their way to the business? What were the revealing, challenging, or just plain weird moments along the way? What tips would they pass along to younger marketers hoping to grow their careers? Their responses will be shared in a Q&A format.

AGENCY SPECIAL: RESUMANIA

Agency leaders consistently cite finding A-grade talent as their biggest challenge, which prompted us to ask: What, exactly, constitutes A-grade talent circa late-2018? We ask execs in charge of hiring what they most covet in would-be employees and create three ideal resumes – one each for small, mid-sized and large firms – from their responses, complete with quotes, statistics, and other annotations.
