GoodRx and RxVantage announced a strategic partnership Tuesday morning to establish a platform that will streamline communications between healthcare providers and pharmaceutical manufacturers.

GoodRx stated that the integration of RxVantage onto its GoodRx for Providers platform will save physicians time and allow them to connect with nearly 60,000 pharma representatives to ask questions about “therapies, indications, side effects, patient assistance programs, and clinical resources.”

In addition to lifting the administrative burden on providers, the goal of the partnership is to support patients with better resources and achieve improved outcomes.

“What makes our platform unique is our ability to connect providers and manufacturers in the right place at the right time, and in highly relevant ways,” said GoodRx co-CEO Doug Hirsch in a statement. “Our planned integration with RxVantage will make this offering even stronger – when providers come to GoodRx looking for information on a certain drug, we will be able to seamlessly connect them with the manufacturer to answer questions in a quick and effective way.”

GoodRx’s announcement comes less than a week after the digital healthcare company made a trio of C-suite hires, including its first COO, chief product officer, and chief people officer.

“Our goal is to ensure every provider has the most relevant educational information and resources needed to deliver the best care to every patient, and we look forward to finding even more ways to collaborate with GoodRx to achieve this goal,” said RxVantage CEO Dan Gilman in a statement.
