Consumers purchasing GlaxoSmithKline’s weight loss drug Alli will receive a free copy of Wynonna Judd’s new album Sing, beginning in March.
Two hundred thousand copies of the album will be packaged with select 30-day starter packs and 170-count refill packs of the drug, which is FDA approved and available over the counter.
The deal is the latest incarnation of Judd’s ongoing partnership with Alli, which includes TV, print ads and a contest offering a trip for two to Nashville for a private concert.
“In celebration of the start of Wynonna’s journey on Alli, we are offering her newest and critically acclaimed album, Sing,” said Rachel Ferdinando, VP, marketing, weight control, at GSK, in a statement. “This program further exhibits the brand’s commitment to supporting Wynonna in both her personal and professional journeys, while giving something back to our loyal consumers.”
“I hope that I can inspire people to be better…that they can see themselves in me and say, ‘If she can do it, I can do it,'” said Judd in the statement.
