Alex Davies (pictured above) has stepped down as managing director of Hanover Health to take up a new role as director of public affairs, medical devices, Europe, at Abbott. He is reporting to Rebecca Muncaster, regional director of public affairs, Europe.
Davies posted on LinkedIn this week: “I am beyond excited to announce that I have joined Abbott as director, public affairs for Europe.”
He said: “I’ll be working with the hugely impressive team in the region, led by Rebecca Muncaster, to drive awareness, recognition and admiration of our work in medical devices and take the story of the company to the next level. It’s great to be here.”
Commenting on his departure from Hanover, last month, Davies said: “After seven and a half incredible years, today is my last day at Hanover Communications. It has turned out to be the most rewarding, fun and fulfilling journey I have ever been on, thanks exclusively to the people I shared it with.”
He added: “We built something. Something that we will always be proud of and we did work that made a real difference.”
Davies joined Hanover as an associate director in 2017. Prior to that he was a senior account director at Tonic Life Communications.
Other past jobs include brief stints in comms roles at the BBC and AstraZeneca. Davies also spent several years at the Royal College of Nursing earlier in his career, where he rose to become the organisation’s campaigns and digital engagement manager.
