Bowing to the reality of the pandemic, the Medical Advertising Hall of Fame announced it is postponing its annual awards dinner. In a statement, the organization’s board said the decision was made to ensure the safety of prospective attendees.

As a result, the hall’s 2021 honorees, Risa Bernstein, Maris Schilling and Ronald Souza, will be celebrated at the 2022 gala. “This is a tremendous time for these inductees and we want to ensure they get the attention and accolades that are due them,” said Robin Shapiro, CEO of TBWA\WorldHealth and MAHF co-chair, in the statement. “To achieve that, we needed to ensure that their friends, families and past colleagues could be there and feel safe about their choice.”

The organization does, however, plan to hold a virtual event to induct its 2021 Future Famers. It will take place sometime during the second half of the year.
