“Sound’s expertise in HCP and patient marketing perfectly complements our robust data-analytics, medical communications, market research, and market access capabilities, allowing us to service our biopharmaceutical clients across the entire drug commercialization process,” said MKG CEO Leon Behar in a statement.
Sound enjoyed a productive 2021. The agency expanded its workforce, from 68 full-timers at the start of the year to 72 at the end of it, and added engagements with Sobi, AbbVie, Corium and Pfizer to its slate. The agency saw revenue jump 10% in 2021, to $13.7 million.
“This just made sense for us in so many ways,” said Sound managing partner of client services Ryan Perkins in a statement. “The synergistic effect of being able to tap into the best-in-class resources of the MKG network is going to help propel Sound to even greater heights. We couldn’t be more excited about our collective future.”
