MM&M is launching Plus One, an event which provides a space for healthcare executives and industry professionals to come together to engage in important conversations about race, gender, and sexual orientation in the workplace. As a champion of diversity and inclusion, MM&M created Plus One to foster the nascent inroads these movements are making in life sciences, and to inspire change and provide a support system.
The evening will feature networking time, an inspirational speaker, and roundtable discussions about workplace culture, mentorship, creating an inclusive and supportive environment in the industry, and dismantling roadblocks on the path to diverse leadership. “Data from MM&M’s own research, as well as our news coverage on the state of the industry, show more women leaders advancing up the ranks in a variety of healthcare organizations. While that’s encouraging, we’re not sitting still. The next gap to address involves promoting diversity from the standpoint of ethnicity and sexual orientation.
