Bliss Bio Health announced Wednesday that industry veteran Lisa Davidson is joining the life sciences marketing and communications firm in a leadership capacity.

Davidson will serve as EVP and lead the company’s client services and global business development out of its New York City office.

Davidson comes to Bliss Bio Health with more than 25 years of medical marketing experience, including most recently serving as global managing director at Havas Health & You. Additionally, she held leadership roles at other notable agencies like BCW, Burson-Marsteller and Porter Novelli.

Her expertise centers on pre-clinical and clinical educational campaigns as well as advocacy development, product marketing, medical devices, reputation and issues management.

“I am thrilled that our team and clients will benefit from Lisa’s deep experience in working ‘from atom to access’ with both integrated agency teams and healthcare companies in a wide range of disease areas,” Bliss Bio Health CEO Gloria Vanderham said in a statement. “Lisa will help us redefine the life sciences and healthcare marketing communications landscape.”

Davidson added that she is excited to join the firm at a time when technology can help “shift communications to better meet the needs of patients and providers alike.”

“Like so many of us, I’ve navigated healthcare journeys as a patient and a caregiver, so working with this team dedicated to improving and preserving health is meaningful,” she said.

It’s been a busy few weeks for Holmdel, New Jersey-based Bliss Bio Health since its founding in mid-January.

The joint product of Next Practices Group and The Bliss Group, Bliss Bio Health is focused on early science and R&D research, medical education, advertising, commercialization and reimbursement.

The firm is led by Vanderham as CEO as well as Bliss Group founder and managing director Michael Roth, who serves as chair. According to a company press release, Bliss Bio Health is set to “disrupt the healthcare ecosystem” and “remove barriers to optimal care” by focusing on the whole person.”

As for Bliss Group, the company announced earlier this week that it has promoted Cortney Stapleton to CEO, replacing Bob Pearson, who will now serve as chair.
