Havas Health & You has made two leadership changes within its digital and innovation division.
David Hunt, currently CEO of Havas Health & You West, was appointed global chief digital officer in addition to his current role. Philippe Huot-Louradour was named European technology and innovation lead, a newly created role.
“There is information inequality in healthcare,” Hunt said. “Our goal is to use technology and innovation to smash this glass ceiling so that all health-related decisions are informed and empowered.”
Havas Health & You has more than 500 dedicated tech experts, Hunt said, and the firm is working to train and upskill all of its staff on technology and innovation.
Hunt is replacing Dennis Urbaniak, who departed the agency in December to join Orexo, a pain and opioid dependence-focused pharma company. One of Hunt’s goals is to bring new tech and innovation from other industries and apply it to the firm’s healthcare comms clients.
“HHY is part of Vivendi, an integrated content, media and communications group that includes Gameloft, Universal Music Group, Canal+ and much more,” Hunt said. “One of our goals is to take the very best ideas, techniques & technologies from these worlds and give them meaning in health and wellness.”
Hunt has been with Havas since 1998. He served as CEO of Havas Lynx until March 2019 when he was appointed CEO of Havas Health & You West and tasked with building the firm’s West Coast presence.
Huot-Louradour was previously managing director of Havas Health & You France, a role he has held since 2016. Prior to that, he worked in leadership roles at other French agencies, including Grand Union Paris, FullSIX Groupe and OgilvyOne.
