Kaléo announced Tuesday that it’s expanding its executive team with the creation of the chief business officer position.

That role will be held by Ted Marcuccio, who previously worked at Summit Biosciences. Over the course of his more than two-decade career, Macuccio also held leadership positions at Meridian Medical Technologies, a former subsidiary of Pfizer, King Pharmaceuticals and Baxter International.

“Ted is a seasoned business development professional with experience across a variety of pharmaceutical sectors including drug delivery,” Kaléo CEO Ronald Gunn said in a statement. “He has a very strong record of establishing collaborations that have captured meaningful value and is well positioned to help us grow through product acquisition as well as partnering our Aerio™ Auto-Injection Platform.”
