Klick Health has named Dave Leitner as SVP of media as the firm expands its media business.

Leitner started working at Klick last month, reporting to COO Aaron Goldstein. Leitner is initially focused on getting Klick’s media offering into the spotlight.

“Klick has a very strong group of talent tied to media; you could call it a best-kept secret,” he said. “But we need to let the secret out as we continue to grow and keep that wind in our sails.”

In the coming months, Leitner said he and his team will promote the media group by “igniting these conversations and fostering them over time.” He is also planning to work with Klick offerings like digital and analytics to add capabilities to its media business.

“What I’ve come to quickly realize is the tremendous amount of talent there is in a variety of [areas] like digital services and analytics,” Leitner said. “We want to try to reorganize and get ourselves ready for the next level of success.”

Previously, Leitner was president of Media Allegory and managing partner of Assembly, both MDC Partners media firms; SVP and group media director at Publicis Groupe agency Spark Foundry; media and market research director at Atari; and senior media manager at Sony.

Klick president Lori Grant said Leitner’s appointment was spurred by the firm’s commitment to evolve its talent and client offerings as the healthcare industry changes.

“The way we think about the business is a constant evolution of talent and evolution of what we bring to our clients,” she said. “As our clients are evolving and changing, we’re bringing on new talent and new elements that we can bring to our clients.”

Last month, Klick also hired former FCB Health creative lead Rich Levy as chief creative officer.
